Changes in the appearance of your skin can leave you wondering where to start. Perhaps you notice more visible dimpling on your thighs, or your skin looks different after a change in weight. You may be interested in an aesthetic treatment but unsure whether the results you see online are realistic for you.
T-Shape 2 is now available at Genovations Regen in Eagan, Minnesota. It gives our team another option to discuss with patients interested in non-invasive face and body treatments. The first step is identifying your concern and deciding whether this technology is a reasonable match.
What does T-Shape 2 do?
T-Shape 2 combines light energy, radiofrequency and mechanical massage technologies in one platform. Depending on the handpiece and treatment plan, a session can involve warmth, suction and a massage-like sensation.
One of the device’s FDA-cleared uses is temporarily reducing the appearance of cellulite. That distinction matters: an improvement in appearance does not mean cellulite is permanently removed. The device is also cleared for certain temporary circulation and muscle discomfort applications. Clearance does not establish that every advertised cosmetic result will occur.
Our T-Shape 2 service page explains the treatment available at Genovations. A consultation is where we connect that information to your specific goals.
Who may want to explore it?
You might bring up T-Shape 2 if you are concerned about visible cellulite or changes in the appearance of a particular treatment area and prefer to explore a non-invasive approach. Patients noticing skin changes after weight loss may also want to discuss their options.
Having that concern does not automatically make you a candidate. Loose skin, cellulite and body fat are different issues. A treatment that makes sense for one may have limited value for another. Significant excess skin may require a surgical consultation if your goal is substantial removal or lifting.
T-Shape 2 is not a weight-loss treatment. It should not be presented as a replacement for nutrition, exercise, medical weight management or surgery when those are appropriate.
What should we discuss before treatment?
Tell us what you want to change in everyday terms. Is it the dimpling you notice in certain lighting? How your skin looks after weight loss? A concern about a specific area? These details help us discuss a realistic goal rather than promise a general “transformation.”
We also review relevant health history, medications, implanted devices, skin conditions and recent procedures. Tell the team if you are pregnant or may be pregnant, have had surgery in the area, or have a condition that affects sensation or healing. Treatment suitability must be checked against the device’s instructions and your medical history.
Ask about the proposed treatment area, number and spacing of visits, total cost, possible side effects and how progress will be assessed. A series may be recommended, but the number of appointments is not a guarantee of a particular result.
What about comfort and downtime?
Non-invasive does not mean you should expect no sensation or no possible side effects. Ask what warmth and suction may feel like, what temporary skin changes are possible, and whether any activity restrictions apply to your plan. Tell your practitioner if treatment feels uncomfortable.
Start with a realistic goal
At Genovations, we want you to understand both the possibilities and the limits before you commit. You should leave the consultation knowing what we are trying to improve, what may remain unchanged and how we will decide whether the plan is worthwhile.
